Job description
About the role
Wise is hiring a full-time, on-site Quality Assurance Specialist in its Tallinn office. The role provides independent, expert assurance over how work is done: spotting risk, identifying control gaps and turning insights into practical improvements. It suits candidates with extensive experience in AML investigation, SAR reporting, fraud, sanctions or KYC (EDD/CDD).
Key responsibilities
- Carry out holistic, risk-based reviews using test scripts and scorecards to check risk outcomes, compliance with global and regional policies and guidance, and alignment with risk appetite.
- Assess risk, materiality and root causes for each finding, with clear reasons linked to policy compliance and risk mitigation.
- Take part in calibration exercises to share findings and best practice and ensure consistent decisions.
- Communicate outcomes to stakeholders, covering key risks, issues, root causes and recommendations, and keep robust records and audit trails.
- Analyse emerging themes and trends and recommend continuous improvement.
- When assigned, scope, plan and run root cause analysis or targeted investigations.
- Meet KPIs and SLAs, optimise processing times and take ownership of results; perform other tasks assigned by the lead, including meetings, training and internal events.
Required profile
- 2+ years of QA experience or in a relevant servicing function such as AML investigation, SAR reporting, fraud, KYC (EDD/CDD).
- Fluent English, written and spoken, able to explain thoughts and recommendations clearly.
- Ownership of personal development, including regulatory insights and emerging risk typologies.
- Ability to keep up with changing requirements, processes and systems, and openness to feedback.
Required skills
- Good understanding of QA methodologies, testing procedures, scoring criteria and root cause analysis.
- Risk and compliance expertise: identifying and assessing risk, applying policy and guidance, and knowing the regulatory environment.
- Efficient review of customer files, use of AI and data, and competence with case management systems, dashboards and AI tools.
What we offer
- Visa sponsorship for qualified applicants.
- Start date of January 2027.
- No relocation package available; candidates arrange their own move.
