Senior Backend Developer (Ruby on Rails) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to help build a data‑driven platform for farmers, aiming to reverse soil degradation and reduce chemical overuse. You will work remotely with a small, passionate team focused on climate‑positive agriculture.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement robust backend architecture and database solutions.
• Develop and maintain Ruby on Rails services.
• Write automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with product, design, and research teams through pair‑programming and customer interviews.
• Contribute to deployment pipelines using container and cloud technologies.

Required profile

• Strong experience with backend architecture and databases.
• Proven track record in automated testing.
• Problem‑solving mindset with a drive to deliver results.
• Professional fluency in English.
