Senior Manager, Scientific Learning, Medical Academy

About the role

The Senior Manager, Scientific Learning, Medical Academy leads complex, cross‑functional learning projects for Pfizer’s Medical Academy. Working closely with the Scientific Learning Lead and therapeutic area partners, this role designs and delivers best‑in‑class e‑learning and blended programs that deepen Medical Affairs colleagues’ expertise in medicines and therapeutic areas.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Medical Academy Scientific Directors, Content Leads and Medical Leads to create curricula and develop learning resources with clear instructional goals across assigned therapeutic areas.
• Partner with external agencies to design interactive, engaging learning experiences.
• Work with the Learning Systems team to upload content and enhance the user experience.
• Research, evaluate and integrate emerging e‑learning trends and technologies.
• Refresh and update existing e‑learning modules to maintain relevance and effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years, or Master’s degree with 5+ years, or a terminal doctoral degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) with 2+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and navigate competing priorities.
• Experience collaborating across functions and managing agency relationships.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong strategic and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a matrix environment with flexibility and organizational awareness.
