Senior Software Engineer (Payments)

About the role

Riverty, a payments company within the family-owned Bertelsmann group, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Payments) to join its team in Tallinn. The position is full-time and unlimited, with flexible working conditions available. You will join one of the company's product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and ship robust, maintainable and readable software, applications, APIs and other workflows.
• Take part in technical architecture design and communicate it.
• Join regular scrum ceremonies as a member of an agile cross-functional team.
• Analyse and implement business requirements while keeping good documentation of the systems and components created.
• Apply industry standards and best practices to continuously improve the codebase and architecture.
• Contribute to engineering culture by adopting, implementing and giving feedback on organisational and industry standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with C# and the .NET framework.
• Experience developing, shipping and maintaining cloud-based applications.
• Good knowledge of microservices and distributed architectures.
• Experience with messaging platforms in distributed architectures (e.g. RabbitMQ, MassTransit, Kafka).
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• FinTech or banking experience is a plus.
