Software Development Project Manager

About the role

Askend, an Estonian tech company delivering e‑government solutions, is seeking a Software Development Project Manager to lead multiple IT projects in Tallinn or Tartu. You will act as the main liaison between clients and development teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, monitor and coordinate several software development projects simultaneously, tracking deadlines, workloads and progress.
• Serve as the primary communication link between clients, development teams and other stakeholders, organising meetings and clarifying responsibilities.
• Identify and manage project risks and issues, coordinating timely resolutions to keep projects on schedule.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, agreements and other client‑required information.
• Support public procurement and tender processes by reviewing requirements and assembling necessary documentation such as CVs and references.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of professional experience in IT project management.
• Strong independence, initiative and systematic work approach.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and make effective decisions.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
