Storage Solutions Architect

About the role

ASBIS is looking for a Storage Solutions Architect to provide centralised technical pre‑sales support for its Business Development Managers and local Value‑Added Distributor teams across Central Eastern Europe, the Middle East and CIS countries. You will work closely with internal sales teams and key customers to design, present and champion server, storage and networking solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify customer needs, qualify opportunities and deliver technical consultancy through on‑site and web‑based presentations.
• Prepare solution designs, RFP responses, competitive comparisons and technical documentation.
• Lead the creation of complex solutions that combine servers, data‑storage systems, networking, virtualization, cloud, backup, monitoring and security components.
• Manage a team of Support and Field Engineers responsible for the Pure Storage installation base, including case handling, training and certification.
• Rapidly resolve complex service situations by coordinating with ASBIS and Pure Storage departments.
• Present ASBIS storage solutions (Everpure) to partners and end‑users, and build Proof‑of‑Concept systems.
• Educate ASBIS staff and customers on new products and solutions from vendors.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience with a distributor, vendor or system integrator.
• Fluent in Russian and English.
• Deep understanding of modern IT technologies and trends.

Required skills

• Servers and storage systems (e.g., Dell EMC, HPE, Cisco, IBM, Hitachi Vantara, Supermicro).
• Virtualization technologies (VMware, Microsoft, Citrix).
• Backup, disaster recovery and cloud solutions.
• High‑performance computing (HPC), software‑defined storage (SDS) and hyper‑converged infrastructure (HCI).
• Operating systems, databases, networking and security.
