VMware Virtualization Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a VMware Virtualization Engineer to strengthen our Virtualization and Network Infrastructure team. The position is fully remote and supports a fintech environment serving over 700,000 users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and develop production virtualization infrastructure based on VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter).
• Support high‑availability clusters and participate in incident resolution.
• Analyze and resolve hypervisor performance, network, and storage issues.
• Work with Fibre Channel and iSCSI storage systems.
• Collaborate with the network team to ensure proper virtualization operation.
• Participate in server hardware installation, connection, and commissioning.
• Operate server remote management tools such as iDRAC.
• Contribute to infrastructure modernization, migration, and testing projects.

Required profile

• Experience administering VMware vSphere in a production environment.
• Understanding of VMware architecture, including ESXi scheduler, NUMA, memory management, and storage subsystem.
• Experience with storage systems: Fibre Channel zoning, multipathing, latency and performance analysis.
• Knowledge of networking technologies required for virtualization: VLANs, trunks, LACP, MTU/jumbo frames, basic L2/L3 principles.
• Familiarity with KVM virtualization principles and differences from VMware.
• Experience with enterprise‑grade server hardware (Dell, Supermicro or similar) and remote management (iDRAC).
• Strong independent troubleshooting and technical problem‑solving skills.
