Compliance Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Compliance Specialist to oversee day‑to‑day operational compliance related to international sanctions and counter‑party due diligence. You will work closely with the Chief Legal Officer to assess risks, maintain records and ensure our defence‑technology business operates within a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct KYC, KYS and third‑party due‑diligence using approved tools.
• Review screening results, investigate alerts and coordinate periodic reviews based on risk levels.
• Assess sanctions, export‑control, diversion, corruption, ownership and other compliance risks.
• Prepare clear compliance assessments and recommendations, escalating material concerns to the Chief Legal Officer.
• Support internal teams with operational compliance matters and transaction‑specific risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate, traceable due‑diligence records, risk registers, compliance decisions and review dates.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of international sanctions, export controls, KYC, corporate structures and counter‑party risk.
• Strong analytical ability to differentiate genuine risks from false positives.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on accurate record‑keeping.
• Clear communicator who works effectively across teams.
• Independent, proactive and demonstrates high ethical standards.
