Digital Workplace Engineer

About the role

As a Digital Workplace Engineer you will ensure Wise’s core collaboration and communication platforms are secure, highly available, and scalable. You will own the technical roadmap for Google Workspace and Slack while supporting the broader workplace suite including Microsoft 365, Filecloud, DocuSign, Adobe, and Calendly.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical roadmap and deliverables for the core digital workspace suite, driving regular, impactful updates.
• Build custom automations and integrations between SaaS tools and internal systems to reduce manual effort and eliminate single points of failure.
• Lead incident resolution and post‑mortem processes for outages or misconfigurations within the digital workspace domain.
• Mentor, coach, and onboard other engineers, ensuring knowledge sharing and reducing bottlenecks.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Security, and IAM teams to align roadmaps and address customer problems.
• Promote a collaborative culture, participate in engineering ceremonies, and contribute to interview panels.

Required profile

• Expert‑level administration of enterprise Google Workspace and Slack (Enterprise Grid, Slack apps, Workflow Builder).
• Strong experience managing secondary corporate SaaS tools at scale (Microsoft 365, Filecloud, DocuSign, Adobe, Calendly).
• Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python or JavaScript/Apps Script) to interact with SaaS REST APIs.
• Deep proficiency with GAM for rapid domain and user management.
• Solid understanding of security best practices for digital workspace environments, including DLP and conditional access.
• Typically 3+ years of relevant SaaS Engineering, Digital Workplace, or Systems Engineering experience.
