Engineering Manager - Hardware

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our hardware engineering team at DefSecIntel Solutions. The role combines deep technical expertise with people leadership to drive the development of mission‑ready defence hardware, including autonomous surveillance systems and counter‑UAS solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with executive leadership and product management to define goals and ensure engineering execution aligns with company strategy.
• Define and review architectural direction, technical proposals and key technology decisions to guarantee reliability, scalability and long‑term sustainability.
• Establish engineering best practices, standards and processes while balancing innovation and delivery commitments.
• Mentor, coach and develop engineers, set clear expectations, provide feedback and support career growth.
• Support talent acquisition, retention and succession planning, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment.
• Monitor progress, risks and dependencies across multiple product areas to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality hardware.
• Collaborate closely with product, hardware and business development teams to promote cross‑functional knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading hardware development teams in a complex product environment.
• Strong people‑leadership skills with a track record of building high‑performing teams.
• Solid engineering background in mechanical engineering, electronics or mechatronics, providing technical credibility.
