Legal Assistant – EU Agency (Tallinn)

About the role

Join the legal team of eu-LISA, the European Union Agency that operates large‑scale IT systems for security, migration and justice. As a Legal Assistant you will support the Head of Sector and Legal Officers in ensuring that the Agency’s activities comply with EU and national legal frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and legal support on staff matters, contracts and public access to documents.
• Review and revise legal documents, decisions of the Executive Director and Management Board.
• Assist in managing litigation and pre‑litigation procedures.
• Check procurement documentation and internal administrative decisions for compliance.
• Handle day‑to‑day administrative tasks for the Legal Sector with high accuracy.

Required profile

• University degree (minimum three‑year) awarded by an EU Member State or equivalent.
• At least one year of professional experience in a legal environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English (minimum C1 level).
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Capacity to work in a multicultural setting and meet tight deadlines.
