Regulatory Framework Owner – AML/KYC Legal Specialist

About the role

Swedbank is looking for a Regulatory Framework Owner with a strong legal focus on AML/KYC. You will act as the country representative within the team of Regulatory Framework Owners for Financial Institutions, ensuring that the bank’s governance and internal documents stay aligned with evolving regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret legislative changes, regulatory requirements and industry standards for the Financial Institutions customer segment.
• Assess impact of regulatory updates and define measures to guarantee compliance.
• Drive consistent regulatory interpretation by aligning stakeholders and translating decisions into clear controls and guidance.
• Advise the organization on AML/CTF regulatory framework and governance matters.
• Participate in cross‑border AML/CTF internal control projects at the Baltic level.
• Lead the development of AML/KYC processes tailored for financial institutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in law.
• Minimum five years of experience in the financial sector or commercial law.
• Experience in AML/CTF or working with financial institutions is an advantage.
• Project‑management aptitude and strong problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent in English and Estonian.
• Strategic mindset with solid analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within a remote team.
