Senior UAV Remote Pilot

About the role

The Senior UAV Remote Pilot will lead customer‑facing flight demonstrations, showcasing medium‑altitude long‑endurance (MALE) UAS capabilities to defence, border‑security and government audiences across Europe. The role blends hands‑on flight operations with client engagement, supporting business development and programme teams from pre‑demo planning through post‑demo follow‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute live flight demonstrations for defence and government customers, ensuring safety, compliance and impressive performance.
• Coordinate with customer technical teams to capture requirements and tailor operational briefs.
• Provide technical input to business‑development meetings, proposals and follow‑on discussions.
• Maintain aircraft and ground control systems to a demonstration‑ready standard.
• Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement after each engagement.
• Report directly to the Country Manager and work within the wider country team.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with medium or large UAS platforms in operational or demonstration settings.
• Understanding of defence and government customer expectations for live platform performance.
• Comfort presenting to senior audiences and communicating system capabilities accurately.
• Eligibility for NATO SECRET or equivalent clearance.
• Professional working proficiency in English and Estonian; additional European languages are a plus.

Required skills

• EASA A1/A3 certification
• A2 Certificate of Competency (or equivalent)
• Flight Radiotelephony Operating Licence
• Solid knowledge of meteorology (MET) and airspace management
• Operation of medium‑altitude long‑endurance (MALE) UAS
