Senior Security Engineer (R&D and Secure Systems Engineering)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to lead hands‑on security engineering across our R&D projects, turning architecture, requirements and risk findings into implemented, validated security controls while mentoring engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead security engineering activities for complex systems, platforms and R&D components.
• Translate security architecture, requirements and threat models into implementable technical controls.
• Design and implement security mechanisms across networks, operating systems, applications and cloud environments.
• Perform threat modelling, risk analysis, hardening and penetration testing.
• Review system designs from a security perspective and resolve complex findings.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience in cybersecurity or secure systems engineering.
• Strong knowledge of network, infrastructure, OS, application and data security.
• Practical experience designing and implementing security controls in distributed systems.
• Understanding of cloud, virtualization, containers, DevSecOps, PKI and cryptography.
• Willingness to complete a government security clearance process.
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, OSCP, GIAC, cloud security) are a plus.
