Backend Architect - Golang

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on VPN Backend Architect who will lead our backend team while spending the majority of time writing Golang code. You will define the technical direction of a platform that serves millions of users and ensure its security, scalability and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve the architecture of a high‑traffic backend platform serving VPN connections.
• Design and build highly available distributed services in Golang, setting performance and reliability targets.
• Lead code reviews, enforce testing discipline, clean architecture and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with SDK, security, infrastructure and product teams to deliver end‑to‑end functionality.
• Mentor engineers, grow technical depth and drive the team toward performance goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of backend engineering and architecture experience, with at least 5 years in Golang.
• Proven experience designing and operating large‑scale distributed systems and deep knowledge of networking protocols.
• Hands‑on experience with VPN protocols such as WireGuard, OpenVPN and IPsec.
• Production experience on AWS and with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
