Description du poste
About the role
Action1, an autonomous patch management platform used by many Fortune 500 companies, is looking for a Development Manager to lead the engineering team behind integrations between its product and external systems, including the Integrations Store. The role combines engineering leadership with hands-on technical expertise to deliver secure, reliable integrations that fit customers' workflows.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of engineers, giving technical direction, mentoring and regular feedback.
- Own delivery outcomes within the agreed scope, give practical estimates and make capacity and priority trade-offs visible.
- Delegate ownership to engineers and, as the team grows, to team leads, keeping the role to no more than three clearly defined focus areas.
- Work with Product Management to define priorities, plan delivery and turn customer needs into integration capabilities.
- Oversee connectors to third-party apps and services, the Integrations Store, data mapping and validation, authentication and authorization, and monitoring, troubleshooting and recovery of integrations.
- Guide technical decisions from design through production rollout, coordinate with other engineering teams and external partners, and establish reusable patterns for retries, rate limits, duplicate events and API version changes.
- Own automated build, test, validation and deployment pipelines, and improve reliability, performance and observability.
- Use AI tools where they improve development, testing or support, with appropriate validation of outputs.
Required profile
- Experience leading software engineers and owning delivery and operation of production systems.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and hands-on experience designing and maintaining APIs and integrations.
- Understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, data consistency and failure recovery.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling, aggregation and query performance.
- Experience with secure authentication and authorization for integrations.
- Excellent communication skills and professional English for leading an English-speaking team.
Required skills
- Excellent knowledge of Node.js, JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience building and operating AWS services in production.
Nice to have
- Experience writing automated integration and contract tests.
- Experience with runtime isolation and sandboxing, B2B SaaS, security, compliance or data governance, and high-load products.
What we offer
- Fully remote work with flexible hours.
- Stable income, benefits and opportunities for career advancement.
- A collaborative environment and friendly colleagues.
