Electrical Engineer - Vehicle and Containerized Systems

About the role

DefSecIntel Solutions builds defence and security systems for Europe's border security, defence and critical infrastructure protection, including autonomous surveillance systems, unmanned surface vessels and counter-UAS solutions. It is looking for an Electrical Engineer who owns the design of electrical systems and subsystems from concept through testing and production, helping develop vehicle-based and containerized solutions. The role offers significant technical ownership, with the chance to lead complex subsystem designs and grow toward system-level engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for vehicle-based and containerized solutions together with Systems, Mechanical and Software Engineers.
• Own electrical design from concept to production, including electrical architecture, schematics, component selection, prototyping and testing.
• Translate stakeholder and product requirements into electrical concepts and requirements for systems and components.
• Create schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, test procedures, design specifications and production documentation.
• Debug complex electrical issues and identify root causes in prototypes and production units.
• Work with suppliers and manufacturers to communicate technical requirements and evaluate proposed solutions.
• Help establish electrical engineering libraries, documentation baselines, design standards and best practices.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Proven ability to independently design electrical systems and own engineering work packages from concept through testing and delivery.
• Experience designing electrical systems for vehicle environments, including power distribution, grounding, vibration, EMC, environmental conditions and relevant automotive standards.
• Relevant education in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics or a related field is an advantage.
• Experience with military electrical systems and design for manufacturability is a plus.
• Comfortable navigating complex contractual requirements and technical standards with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
