Fullstack Engineer – Scam Prevention Team

About the role

Join Wise’s Scam Prevention team as a Fullstack Engineer. You will work on both backend and frontend components to strengthen the company’s defenses against financial crime, delivering measurable impact on customer security.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for scam detection and prevention.
• Implement and enhance frontend interfaces using React, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Build and refine critical controls that protect Wise customers from scams.
• Own end-to-end projects, from concept through production, ensuring high reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and investigations teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Required profile

• Professional experience with Java or other JVM-based languages and the Spring framework.
• Proven ability to design and operate CI/CD pipelines and distributed, concurrent systems.
• Strong product mindset with data-driven decision making.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
