Hardware Technician - Surveillance & Radio Communication Systems

About the role

Cybernetica, an R&D-focused technology company developing mission-critical software and hardware for maritime surveillance, border security and radio communication systems, is looking for a Hardware Technician in Tallinn. The role sits in a hands-on technical team and covers assembling, testing, installing and maintaining hardware solutions, both in-house and at customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and build surveillance and radio communication products
• Coordinate production activities with subcontractors
• Install, test, troubleshoot and document hardware products
• Sourcing components and materials and managing inventory
• Prepare equipment for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), including rack installation, cabling, software setup and delivery preparation
• Provide technical support to customers during installation, configuration and maintenance
• Perform on-site installation and maintenance at customer locations

Required profile

• Around 2 years of professional experience as a hardware engineer or hardware technician
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and manage responsibilities
• Confidence in communicating with suppliers and customers
• Good written and spoken Estonian and English
• Willingness to occasionally work on-site at customer locations

Required skills

• Electronics engineering experience is a plus
• Hands-on experience with electronics, electrical systems or RF equipment is a plus
• Interest in organizing and maintaining inventory is a plus
• Interest in networks, computers, cameras, radios, radars and sensors
