Head of Data Analytics, Rides Operations

About the role

Bolt is a global mobility platform used by more than 200 million customers and 4.5 million driver and courier partners across 50 countries. Its Rides Operations Analytics function covers supply, consumer experience, risk and compliance, safety, operational excellence and customer support programmes, and partners directly with regional management, domain heads and executive leadership. As Head of Analytics, Rides Operations, you will own global operations analytics for the vertical and lead a team of 12+ analysts and managers, with a dotted line to 2.5+ Analytics Engineers. The function is shifting from descriptive reporting to impact assessment, experimentation and a predictive, AI-native approach.

Key responsibilities

• Own global operations analytics for Rides, giving recommendations that guide operational decisions and maximise the efficiency of financial investments.
• Lead topics such as Supply, Strategic Supply, Consumer (including B2B and B2G), Risk & Compliance, Safety, Operational Excellence, automation, the AI charter, Customer Support programmes, management mechanisms and reporting.
• Transform the function into an impact-assessment, experimentation and predictive, AI-native stack, and become a thought-leadership partner to domain and business teams.
• Build the long-term operations analytics roadmap with Local Operations, Domain Heads and Product, and deploy self-serve analytics playbooks across markets, localised where needed.
• Define key marketplace actions and input-output metrics at local and global level, share insights and measure impact with a customer-first approach.
• Lead, grow and retain a high-performing team, set its culture, define performance objectives and run performance management.
• Standardise analytics processes across Rides, including marketplace reporting and metrics, and work with Engineering to prioritise process and tooling improvements.
• Manage stakeholders across HQ, local teams, engineering and business, prioritising impact across 50+ countries.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in operations, marketing, growth, incentives and/or customer analytics in a fast-paced tech environment.
• 5+ years building and managing a high-performing analytics team.
• BSc in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or a related business or quantitative field.
• Experience in consulting, pricing and incentives strategy, growth and/or marketplaces is highly desirable.
• Excellent communicator and stakeholder manager, able to align senior leaders at HQ and local level.

Required skills

• Solid grasp of statistics and proven experience with operational deep-dives and dashboarding.
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel and data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI or Looker.
• Python or R is a plus; experience designing and deploying an AI-led analytics stack, including conversational analytics, is required.
• Experience with experimentation and causal methods is a plus.
