IT Support Analyst - Application Operations

About the role

A partner company, managing all applications and next steps, is looking for an IT Support Analyst - Application Operations based in Estonia. The role supports critical banking applications and ensures reliable, secure and efficient system performance. You will investigate recurring incidents, find root causes and implement sustainable solutions, working with developers, software vendors and internal IT teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze recurring IT incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective measures to improve application reliability.
• Troubleshoot application errors in test environments, collaborating with developers, vendors and internal teams.
• Monitor banking applications and IT systems, optimise monitoring processes and look for automation opportunities.
• Configure and administer banking applications, especially OpenLease, including settings, workflows and user roles.
• Provide first- and second-level application support and contribute to major incident management.
• Process user access requests and maintain permissions in line with security policies.
• Document investigations, workarounds, configuration changes and incident resolutions in the knowledge base.
• Support continuous improvement of application operations, incident management and monitoring.

Required profile

• Previous experience in IT application support, application operations or a similar role, preferably in a complex enterprise or financial services environment.
• Solid understanding of incident management, problem management, troubleshooting and IT service management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Very good German and English, written and spoken.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to complex banking applications and manage competing priorities.

Required skills

• Experience with IT service management and documentation tools, particularly Jira and Confluence.
• Technical understanding of application environments, system configurations, monitoring and software troubleshooting.
• Advantageous: monitoring tools such as Splunk, basic SQL, familiarity with banking applications, financial services regulations and IT security policies.
