Reliability Specialist

About the role

As a Reliability Specialist at ABB you will ensure the quality and reliability of Drives, Controls and Power Conversion products. You will act as the bridge between the Drives Reliability Center, Quality Assurance and engineering teams, coordinating failure analysis and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate failure analysis activities across the Drives Reliability Center, Quality Assurance and other stakeholders.
• Review and validate analysis results, ensuring conclusions are accurate, well‑documented and actionable.
• Manage testing results and analysis data to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
• Communicate findings, improvement actions and lessons learned to relevant teams.
• Follow up on corrective actions and support timely implementation of effective solutions.
• Contribute to the development of test specifications, reliability practices and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Power Electronics or a related field.
• Strong understanding of electronics with a keen interest in product quality and reliability.
• Enjoy investigating technical issues, coordinating stakeholders and driving problems to resolution.
• Comfortable working with data, analysis tools and technical documentation.
• Experience in reliability engineering, testing, quality assurance, failure analysis or a similar discipline (experience in reliability engineering is a plus).
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
