Senior Data Analyst, Rides

About the role

As a Senior Data Analyst in Bolt’s Central Operations Analytics team, you will bridge business stakeholders and the data platform. You will translate operational questions into reliable datasets and Looker explores that enable analysts and operators to self‑serve insights across Rides, Delivery, and other verticals.

Key responsibilities

• Convert stakeholder and analyst requests into clear specifications, define grain, edge cases, and validate outputs against source systems.
• Design, build, and maintain reusable dbt models, tests, and documentation; extend data marts for reporting and self‑service.
• Manage end‑to‑end Looker projects, keeping LookML aligned with dbt‑driven or synced explores.
• Leverage AI‑assisted tools and lightweight automations (e.g., Cursor, Claude) across dbt, Airflow, Databricks, Python, and Google Sheets to accelerate modelling.
• Support break‑fixes and minor refactors when upstream schemas change, coordinating impact with key consumers.
• Follow system design and architectural best practices, collaborating cross‑functionally to ensure data integrity across the analytics stack.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Management, Business or a related field.
• Significant experience in BI, analytics, or data roles with end‑to‑end delivery ownership and demonstrable impact in data modelling.
• Strong communication skills to work with operations analysts and business teams across multiple verticals.

Required skills

• Proficient SQL.
• Hands‑on experience with dbt (models, tests, documentation).
• Fluent LookML (views, explores, dimensions, measures, refinements).
• Working knowledge of Python for analytics and automation.
• Familiarity with Airflow, Databricks, and Google Sheets.
