Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Kuehne+Nagel's IT Hub in Tallinn is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who designs, implements and maintains DevOps systems supporting several development teams and business-critical projects. The role bridges development and infrastructure teams, drives automation across environments and is central to the transition from on-premises infrastructure to AWS Cloud.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for development and production environments.
• Lead and support AWS cloud migration, including networking, security and infrastructure setup.
• Maintain and optimise containerised environments (Kubernetes, Docker, EKS, ECS).
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Terragrunt).
• Operate shared middleware and monitoring solutions, and ensure observability via logging, monitoring and alerting (Grafana, Prometheus, Airflow).
• Act as a trusted advisor to development teams, promoting DevOps best practices and "you build it, you run it".

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps engineering and 2+ years in AWS cloud environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (VPC, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, Direct Connect, IAM, ECS/EKS).
• Fluent English, spoken and written, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across teams.

Required skills

• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Terragrunt)
• Solid Linux administration and scripting (Python, Bash)
• Monitoring and alerting (Grafana, Prometheus, Airflow)
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka, SQS, EventBridge)
