Senior Fraud Analyst

About the role

We are hiring a Senior Fraud Analyst to own Creem’s fraud prevention program, designing, implementing and continuously improving proactive, real‑time controls that protect merchants and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve the end‑to‑end fraud prevention framework, including strategy, controls, tooling and processes.
• Develop and tune automated fraud detection rules, velocity checks and AI/ML models that act at transaction time for SaaS, AI and digital‑goods scenarios.
• Analyse transaction, dispute and merchant data to identify emerging fraud patterns, measure control performance and iterate on rules.
• Own risk policies for merchant onboarding and ongoing monitoring, ensuring high‑risk actors are identified early.
• Evaluate, integrate and manage third‑party fraud prevention vendors, making build‑vs‑buy decisions.
• Maintain documentation of risk policies, procedures and automated systems to keep the program auditable.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in fraud prevention, payments risk or transaction monitoring at a PSP, merchant‑of‑record, fintech or high‑volume online merchant.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to query large transaction datasets (SQL required; Python a strong plus).
• Hands‑on experience designing, implementing and tuning automated fraud rules or risk models in production.
• Working knowledge of card‑network fraud and chargeback monitoring programs and related compliance expectations.
• Experience selecting, integrating or operating third‑party fraud prevention tools and making build‑vs‑buy decisions.
• Owner’s mindset with the ability to structure a broad mandate into a self‑contained program and deliver autonomously.
