Senior Full Stack Developer – Scam Prevention

About the role

Join Wise’s Scam Prevention team as a Senior Full Stack Developer. You will help protect millions of customers by building and enhancing the systems that detect and block financial fraud in real time.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services that power fraud detection and prevention.
• Contribute to the React‑based frontend used by internal investigators and product teams.
• Build and refine critical controls to stop scams targeting Wise customers.
• Own end‑to‑end projects, from concept through production, ensuring measurable impact on customer security.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, scalability, and reliability of distributed systems.

Required profile

• Professional experience with Java or other JVM languages and the Spring framework.
• Strong product mindset with the ability to drive projects independently.
• Experience designing, operating, and monitoring large‑scale, concurrent systems.
• Proficiency in data‑driven decision making and test‑driven development.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑team collaboration.
