Senior Full Stack Engineer (EMEA)

About the role

Deel is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and maintain both front‑end and back‑end components of its global payroll and HR platform. You will work remotely within the EMEA region, collaborating with product, design, and DevOps teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions for millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Develop responsive web applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and Express.
• Design and implement server‑side APIs, data models, and business logic, primarily with the Express framework.
• Create reusable, function‑based React components, hooks, stories, and tests.
• Optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and data interactions.
• Build modular front‑end and back‑end components that promote reusability and maintainability.
• Perform thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high‑quality deliverables.
• Stay current with emerging web‑development trends and recommend process improvements.
• Participate in code reviews and communicate progress and challenges to stakeholders.

Required profile

• At least 8 years of full‑stack experience with a focus on TypeScript development.
• Thrives in a collaborative, remote‑first culture and takes ownership of projects.
• Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex ideas to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Business‑focused mindset with a strong eye on delivering high‑value outcomes for clients.
