Senior Software Engineer – Trust Platform

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Trust team. You will design, build and operate the backend services that validate identity data against country‑specific authoritative sources, ensuring reliable trust signals for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Trust’s backend services and integrations with external identity data sources.
• Expand global coverage by onboarding new countries and data sources quickly.
• Model inconsistent upstream data into consistent verification results.
• Implement resilience patterns such as timeouts, retries, idempotency, back‑pressure, circuit breaking and graceful degradation.
• Handle sensitive personal data with regional residency and compliance requirements.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, incident response and post‑mortems.
• Drive engineering quality through code reviews, CI practices, runbook documentation and mentorship.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience building large‑scale backend applications.
• Strong expertise in Python and event‑driven, asynchronous architectures.
• Hands‑on experience integrating third‑party APIs at scale.
• Familiarity with message‑queue systems such as SQS or RabbitMQ.
