Senior Web Developer (WordPress)

About the role

Creditstar Group, an international consumer finance company headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia, is looking for a skilled Senior Web Developer with strong WordPress experience to join its engineering team. The ideal candidate builds, maintains and optimises high-quality, responsive websites, works independently and collaborates with designers, product managers and other engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve WordPress-based websites and landing pages
• Build and customise WordPress themes, templates and plugins
• Build and maintain pages with Elementor, including custom widgets and extensions
• Implement responsive designs based on Figma or other design specifications
• Optimise performance, SEO, security and user experience
• Integrate third-party APIs, analytics, CRM and marketing tools
• Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure website stability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and improvements

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional web development experience
• Strong hands-on WordPress experience, including custom themes and plugins
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and communicate in English

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and MySQL
• Responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• WordPress REST API and third-party integrations
• Performance optimisation, technical SEO and web security
• Git and modern development workflows
• Nice to have: React, Gutenberg blocks, Elementor Pro, AWS/Cloudflare, CI/CD pipelines, Google Analytics and Tag Manager, AI-assisted tools
