SMA/FA Maintenance Technician Trainee

About the role

Ericsson Estonia's supply site is offering a traineeship for a SMA/FA Maintenance Technician. You will help keep equipment, tools, systems and facilities running safely and efficiently, supporting routine inspections, diagnosing and repairing faults, responding to breakdowns and assisting with installation and commissioning. The traineeship runs Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (8 hours per day), from 1 February 2027 to 31 May 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Respond quickly to equipment failures and minimise downtime.
• Check equipment, tools, systems and facilities to make sure they operate correctly.
• Identify faults, diagnose problems and repair mechanical, electrical or other equipment issues.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, operators and other technicians to resolve maintenance issues.
• Carry out other maintenance duties assigned by the supervisor.
• Assist with equipment installation and commissioning.

Required profile

• Currently studying at a vocational school or university.
• Available to commit full time (40 hours per week, Mon-Fri) for the standard period 1 February 2027 to 31 May 2027.
• Aged 18 by 1 February 2027.
• Valid working rights in Estonia until at least 31 May 2027.
• Proactive, self-motivated and committed to quality work.
• Interest in technical processes, including automated robots and equipment control systems; prior familiarity is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work extended or non-standard hours when operational needs require it.
• Basic knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements, with quality standards and sustainability principles.
• Some proficiency in English, verbal and written.
