Application Security Monitoring & Analysis Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Application Security Monitoring & Analysis Analyst to protect client‑hosted applications in real time. You will monitor security events, investigate incidents, and work closely with development and DevOps teams to ensure continuous protection and high availability.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor client‑hosted applications for security threats, anomalies, and performance issues.
• Analyze logs, alerts, and system activity to detect suspicious behavior.
• Respond promptly to security incidents and provide timely alerts to relevant teams.
• Maintain continuous monitoring of application security health and performance.
• Investigate security issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and document findings.
• Set up and manage security alerting and monitoring systems (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Datadog).
• Coordinate with development and DevOps teams for issue resolution.
• Maintain incident reports and security documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 + year experience in application security, SOC, or IT monitoring.
• Basic understanding of cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication skills in English and ability to work in an alert‑driven environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of web application security basics (OWASP Top 10 preferred).
• Experience with monitoring/log tools such as CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Datadog.
• Familiarity with SIEM tools and incident response workflows.
• Scripting knowledge (Python or Bash).
