Automation Engineer Trainee (Winter/Spring 2027)

About the role

Ericsson Estonia's supply site offers a full-time traineeship (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday) for students in Automation, Business IT, Data Science, Information Systems or Integrated Engineering. The trainee supports manufacturing digitalization by analysing production data, spotting improvement opportunities and helping turn manual processes into digital solutions. The traineeship runs from 1 February 2027 to 31 May 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Build a Power BI report from manufacturing data
• Help prototype or improve a Power App
• Map a manual production process and identify digitalization opportunities
• Test data coming from a machine or production system
• Document data fields, business rules and process requirements
• Investigate data-quality gaps and propose corrective actions
• Prepare project updates and demonstrations
• Take part in improvement projects and support user testing, feedback collection and adoption

Required profile

• Currently studying at a vocational school or university
• Available for a full-time traineeship from 1 February 2027 to 31 May 2027
• Aged 18 by 1 February 2027
• Valid working rights in Estonia until at least 31 May 2027
• Analytical skills and basic knowledge of MS Power Platform or Power BI
• High proficiency in English, spoken and written
