Backend Engineer – Financial Automation

About the role

Join Bolt’s newly created Financial Automation team within Revenue Assurance. As a founding Backend Engineer you will design, build and launch the core systems that automate tax reporting, e‑invoicing and other critical financial flows for a global mobility platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy scalable backend platforms that ensure data completeness, consistency, quality and regulatory compliance across regions.
• Build integrations with Bolt’s existing services and third‑party tools/APIs.
• Help define the technical direction for this new domain and set engineering standards aligned with ITGC and DORA requirements.
• Collaborate with Finance, Commerce and Product stakeholders to translate complex regulatory needs into reliable automations.
• Lead features from concept to production and share knowledge through tech talks.

Required profile

• Solid backend engineering experience.
• Proven track record of designing and shipping backend solutions.
• Product‑oriented mindset and ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams.
