Business Reporter (Pan‑African Media Platform)

About the role

XOL Africa is expanding its editorial network and seeks Business Reporters to cover business, finance, trade and economic developments across the continent. You will work remotely, producing accurate and insightful news stories that help audiences understand the forces shaping African markets.

Key responsibilities

• Report on business, companies, markets, finance, trade, investment and economic trends in your assigned country or region.
• Identify and develop original story ideas, conduct interviews and produce exclusive reports.
• Cover major companies, entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers and institutions.
• Produce clear, accurate and engaging news pieces that meet professional journalism standards.
• Monitor emerging business trends with regional or continental relevance.
• Build and maintain a strong network of credible sources.

Required profile

• Experienced journalists, business reporters or financial correspondents.
• Strong knowledge of the business and economic landscape in your country or region.
• Excellent writing, reporting and research abilities.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and uphold ethical journalism standards.
