Cloud Engineer

About the role

We’re hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner to design, develop and test secure, scalable cloud infrastructure solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test secure, scalable cloud infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Implement and enhance platforms using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform and Packer.
• Deploy and maintain services including Kubernetes, HashiCorp Vault & Consul, and various databases.
• Develop and optimise monitoring and alerting systems using Azure Monitor and New Relic.
• Create comprehensive documentation for internal clients.
• Take ownership from architecture through implementation and monitoring, presenting design decisions to the team.
• Collaborate with other teams to enhance their infrastructure implementations.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Practical experience with Azure cloud and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language: PowerShell, Bash or Python.
• Experience setting up and managing security, monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices for application and infrastructure deployment.
• Experience with containerisation using Docker.
