Product Owner / Team Lead (Agile, Banking)

About the role

Avalanche Laboratory is looking for a Product Owner / Team Lead to run a task force delivering solutions for Payments Services Regulation (PSR) obligations and other Payments Baltic VDE initiatives. The role leads day-to-day execution, coordinates analysts, developers, QA specialists and the Tech Lead, and acts as the main link between the task force and management. It is based in Tallinn, Riga or Vilnius, with on-site presence three days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily execution, deliver agreed objectives within scope, quality and timeline, and coordinate work across the team
• Drive Kanban and/or Scrum processes, backlog management, prioritization, estimation and release planning
• Maintain team capacity, workload distribution and delivery predictability; monitor risks, dependencies and blockers
• Act as the main operational contact for business and technology stakeholders, escalate issues and coordinate cross-functional resolution
• Plan and execute testing, deployment and implementation, and ensure quality standards, documentation and reporting are met
• Support onboarding of task-force resources and contribute to forecasting and resource planning

Required profile

• Proven experience leading Agile software delivery teams in enterprise environments
• Strong Scrum Master and Agile delivery management capabilities
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams of analysts, developers, QA specialists and architects
• Deep competence in the area, able to solve abstract tasks and act as a mentor; typical experience 7-10 years as a consultant
• Preferred: well-proven experience in banking, payments, financial services or other regulated environments
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities

What we offer

• Work on a large-scale banking project in a pan-European environment
• Employment in Estonia up to 4,300 EUR gross, in Latvia up to 4,700 EUR gross, or a B2B rate of 40-45 EUR/hour depending on seniority; in Lithuania only the B2B option is available
