Exploration-Focused Innovation Lead

About the role

SEB is seeking an Innovation Lead to join its Strategy & Innovation team in Tallinn. The role focuses on exploring future banking trends, technologies and customer needs to create long‑term value for both customers and the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and research emerging trends, market developments, customer needs and new technologies that could shape banking.
• Translate research insights into exploration themes, concepts and concrete opportunities.
• Lead innovation projects from idea generation through concept development, prototyping, validation and learning.
• Explore the application of AI and other emerging technologies to solve problems and create new value.
• Collaborate with business units, product teams, data specialists and technology teams to assess feasibility and impact.
• Communicate insights, opportunities and recommendations clearly to stakeholders across the organization.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in product innovation, service design, concept development or a related field.
• Strong analytical and research abilities with a talent for synthesising information from multiple sources.
• Proven experience managing projects that involve cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Comfortable moving between strategic thinking and hands‑on execution.
• Curiosity about emerging technologies and their potential impact on banking.
