Finance Controls Manager

About the role

We are preparing for upcoming payment regulation in Europe and need a Finance Controls Manager to own the end‑to‑end financial control environment. You will design, implement and operate control activities, ensuring they are performed across the organisation rather than merely documented.

Key responsibilities

• Design, document and run financial control activities, periodically reviewing related policies and procedures.
• Implement and embed controls across the organisation in alignment with the second‑line risk framework.
• Identify control and compliance gaps early and ensure finance‑owned deficiencies are remediated on schedule.
• Maintain regulatory capital monitoring, develop and validate stress‑testing models, and deliver accurate regulatory reporting.
• Provide hands‑on operational cover for accounting, controlling and FP&A functions, including month‑end close sign‑off.
• Oversee outsourced finance functions, holding external providers to the same control and regulatory standards as internal teams.

Required profile

• Hands‑on finance professional with experience designing and operating financial control environments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal day‑to‑day supervision.
• Strong coordination skills across accounting, controlling, reporting and FP&A teams.
• Experience managing outsourced finance functions and ensuring consistent control standards.
• Familiarity with regulatory capital monitoring, stress‑testing models and regulatory reporting.
