HR AI & Automation Operations Lead

About the role

Step into the exciting role of HR AI and Automation Operations Lead, a position that offers a dynamic blend of operational and technical responsibilities within the EOR Operations vertical. EOR Operations teams help Remote customers and their employees navigate the employment journey with speed, ease, consistency, responsiveness, and care.

Key responsibilities

• Use customer and employee feedback together with operational data to improve HR experience, quality and outcomes.
• Map operational processes, identify bottlenecks and design end‑to‑end automated workflows that increase speed, accuracy and scalability.
• Build and maintain data pipelines via native connectors or APIs across HRIS, case management, payroll and other tools.
• Leverage low‑code/no‑code platforms (Zapier, Make, Retool, n8n) to prototype and deploy rapid automations.
• Deploy and govern AI agents for document processing, query triage, policy guidance and data auditing.
• Develop operational data models, dashboards and reports using SQL and BI tools such as Tableau or Sigma.
• Lead cross‑functional collaboration, change management, training and adoption of AI & automation solutions.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to best‑practice evolution within Ops.

Required profile

• Strong ownership and autonomy; able to set direction and deliver outcomes independently.
• Experience moving initiatives from early exploration to sustainable delivery with solid project management.
• Background in HR Operations or Shared Services, especially in regulated or compliance‑sensitive environments.
• Understanding of sensitive data lifecycle risk and data‑privacy obligations.
• Excellent communication, influencing and conflict‑management skills.

Required skills

• Low‑code workflow tools: Zapier, Make, Retool, n8n (or similar).
• Scripting languages: Python, TypeScript, JavaScript.
• API integration, webhooks and message‑queue orchestration.
• SQL for data modeling and reporting.
• BI tools: Tableau, Sigma.
• Experience with AI/ML tools for document processing and automated decision support.
