IT Network Support (Dispatch) EST

About the role

Brilliant Computers is hiring a freelance IT Network Support (dispatch) professional in Tallinn. The role covers installing technical troubleshooting and fixing desktops, printers, laptops and other computer peripherals, as well as desktop applications, and working both on site and remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Install and fix hardware problems on desktops, printers, laptops and other peripherals, and fix desktop applications.
• Provide smart hand support for peripheral and networking hardware such as monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, fax machines, scanners, routers, wireless routers, switches, firewalls, racks, cabinets and multi-port data termination panels.
• Troubleshoot systems and networks using deductive reasoning, including end-user network cabling issues.
• Perform remote support under instruction-based activities, from both the site and the remote team.

Required profile

• Bilingual: English and local language at B2 level.
• Excellent written and oral communication with clients and management, and good people skills.
• Ability to work with deadlines, take proactive ownership and work with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to lift and move computer equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.) is an additional advantage.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of enterprise LAN and WAN setups and concepts.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and RDP.
• Expertise in desk-side support and PC break/fix, including basic administration of Windows and macOS.
• Advanced knowledge of computer hardware, chipsets, memory modules and peripherals.
• Knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office 365, Active Directory, SCCM, DHCP, VPN and remote connection systems.
