Junior/Mid-Level Security Analyst – IT Security Operations

About the role

Helmes is seeking a motivated Security Analyst to join its lean security team. You will work across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland, supporting secure software development and helping protect critical enterprise environments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and investigate incidents.
• Support incident response and forensic investigations.
• Analyse log data to identify threats and actionable findings.
• Create and refine detection rules, analytics and monitoring use cases.
• Assist with threat detection, security analytics and automation initiatives.
• Troubleshoot security‑related issues and collaborate with development and infrastructure teams.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in IT security, SOC operations or a similar role.
• Curiosity, initiative and a willingness to learn.
• Understanding of security monitoring and incident response.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication skills in Estonian and English.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, SIEM or EDR platforms.
• Knowledge of Azure, Active Directory/Entra or cloud security.
• Experience with KQL, PowerShell or Python scripting.
