Medical Affairs Manager – Rare Diseases

About the role

Medison, a global pharma company, is seeking a Medical Affairs Manager (MAM) focused on rare diseases for its operations in Estonia. The MAM will act as the primary medical liaison, supporting both internal teams and external healthcare professionals through scientific education and project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Country Medical Head and Commercial team to establish and expand the medical footprint in Estonia.
• Synchronise touch‑points with healthcare professionals across internal functions to optimise the customer experience.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key external medical experts and opinion leaders in relevant disease areas.
• Generate, interpret and communicate complex scientific data to internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive disease awareness by organising symposia, advisory boards and scientific meetings in line with compliance guidelines.
• Coordinate pre‑launch and life‑cycle activities for current and pipeline products.
• Provide expert medical support and education to the local sales and marketing teams.
• Assist the Country Medical Head in creating the Medical Customer Engagement Strategy and project plans for launch excellence and lifecycle management.

Required profile

• Strong medical expertise in the rare‑disease therapeutic areas covered by Medison.
• Ability to keep scientific knowledge current and thorough.
• Experience working with internal medical, commercial and regulatory functions.
• Proven capability to build collaborative relationships with external experts and opinion leaders.
• Reporting competence to the Country Medical Head.
