Product Engineer – Smart Building Platform

About the role

Bisly is looking for an experienced Product Engineer to help build and maintain the backend services that power its intelligent building ecosystem. You will work on the house‑server platform that coordinates devices, data flow, and automation across thousands of connected systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance, scalable backend services using C++ and Rust.
• Evaluate, integrate, and optimise AI tools and services to support product innovation.
• Take technical ownership of projects and contribute to architecture planning.
• Develop and deploy robust software for both cloud and on‑premise environments.
• Define and implement data synchronization strategies between systems.
• Optimise system performance, debug complex issues (memory, concurrency, I/O).
• Design and develop APIs for local and cloud‑based services (REST, gRPC).
• Write clean, maintainable, well‑tested code and mentor team members.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional experience in backend or systems programming.
• Strong proficiency in C++ or Rust.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, network protocols, and asynchronous runtimes.
• Experience with database engines such as MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and on‑premise server environments.
• Proven ability to write clean, scalable, well‑tested code following OOP, design patterns, and Agile practices.
• Hands‑on experience with AI technologies, including integration or deployment of AI‑powered services.
