Regulatory Compliance Manager (EU)

About the role

Wise is looking for a Regulatory Compliance Manager to join its Tallinn team and safeguard the company’s Belgian licence (Wise Europe SA). You will act as a key pillar of the Second Line of Defense, providing a high‑level view of the compliance framework and driving initiatives across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Regulatory horizon scanning – support implementation of current and upcoming regulations such as PSD3 and PSR, assess impact and advise first‑line teams.
• Product and cross‑functional advisory – partner with Product, Legal and Product Compliance to embed compliance by design in new features and market expansions.
• Policy architecture – draft, update and roll out Wise Europe compliance policies, procedures and standards.
• Regulator engagement and reporting – maintain transparent relationships with regulators and fulfil notification obligations.
• Breach oversight and remediation – identify gaps, propose pragmatic solutions and ensure sustainable remediation.
• Culture and training – mentor internal teams and deliver engaging regulatory compliance training.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a second‑line compliance function at an authorised payment institution, e‑money institution or similar financial entity.
• Deep understanding of the payments industry regulatory ecosystem.
• Ability to work autonomously, influence senior stakeholders and drive projects from day one.
