Security Engineer – Cybersecurity Services

About the role

Cybernetica, part of the architects of e-Estonia and digital societies worldwide, is looking for a Security Engineer to join its cybersecurity services team in Tallinn or Tartu. You will work closely with clients to assess and validate their security posture, identify gaps and recommend improvements that align their infrastructure with industry best practices, frameworks and regulatory requirements. You take ownership of your tasks day to day while collaborating with colleagues on larger engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with clients and present findings and recommendations on cybersecurity topics
• Write and update technical documentation
• Contribute to the planning and design of security architectures for client systems and applications
• Develop and test security methodologies and tools
• Perform security testing and assessments in line with standards and requirements
• Provide security risk analysis for client systems and applications

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity (e.g. Security Engineer, Penetration Tester, System Administrator)
• Excellent organisational, planning and writing skills
• Very good written and spoken Estonian and English
• High sense of responsibility and a systematic approach
• Nice to have: penetration testing/red teaming, auditing (ISO, E-ITS), cybersecurity sales, higher education or information security certifications, and contributions to the cybersecurity community (bug bounties, CVEs, open source)
