Senior Central Accountant

About the role

As a Senior Central Accountant at Bolt, you will manage a portfolio of complex, cross‑border accounting processes that are central to the group finance function. You will work closely with headquarters and subsidiary accountants across multiple jurisdictions, handling IFRS 16 lease accounting, partner accounting for franchise partners, and central group transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Support and coordinate the end‑to‑end IFRS 16 lease accounting process, including audit documentation, data uploads, internal controls, and quarter‑end balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Own the operational Partner Accounting process: maintain balancing files, issue invoices, calculate monthly provisions, perform netting, and manage outstanding balances for each franchise partner.
• Communicate directly with franchise partners on accounting matters and provide VAT reports for Hungary and Austria.
• Lead month‑end close activities, including period opening, central accrual uploads, and running Account Certification Sets for the entire group.
• Manage intercompany balances (loans, cash pool, interest, trade, admin), track maturities, capitalise long‑term balances, and book intercompany loan interest.
• Maintain technical ownership of the Transfer Pricing template and contribute to process development and automation projects.

Required profile

• University degree (BA or MA) in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• Proven experience in statutory reporting, audit, or accounting with exposure to multi‑jurisdictional GAAP financial statements.
• Strong understanding of IFRS 16 and complex entity structures.
