Senior Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

OlyBet is looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen and scale its security capabilities across the Group. The role improves security visibility, monitoring and incident response across Cloudflare, Microsoft 365, Palo Alto Cortex XSIAM and the broader infrastructure, while preparing the organization for integration with a managed SOC. It is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and enhance security monitoring, detection and alerting across systems and platforms
• Manage and optimize Cloudflare security controls, including WAF, traffic filtering, bot protection and DDoS mitigation
• Strengthen Microsoft 365 and identity security, including Entra ID, email security and audit logging
• Lead the integration of, and ongoing collaboration with, the managed detection and response (MDR) provider
• Establish and mature incident response processes, including investigations and post-incident analysis
• Implement and drive vulnerability management and security testing practices
• Design, embed and continuously improve security controls across infrastructure, applications and environments
• Support risk management, compliance and audit readiness against frameworks such as DORA and ISO standards
• Partner with internal teams to raise security awareness and foster shared ownership of security

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in cyber security or security engineering
• Experience working with or integrating managed SOC / MDR services
• Confidence in troubleshooting, threat detection and incident investigation
• A systems-thinking mindset and the ability to work across complex, distributed environments
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with SIEM or log management platforms
• Cloudflare security (WAF, bot protection, traffic filtering)
• Microsoft 365 security (Entra ID, Defender, audit logs)

• Gross monthly salary range of EUR 4,500 - 5,000, depending on experience, skills and fit; gross pay may vary by country
