Senior QA Team Lead – AML

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Team Lead for our Anti‑Money‑Laundering (AML) domain. In this role you will define the QA strategy, ensure the accuracy of AML controls and lead a high‑performing team to deliver reliable, risk‑focused outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a QA team of 20‑40 members, fostering a customer‑ and risk‑proportionate mindset.
• Own AML QA delivery against KPIs, optimise processes, manage resources and refine SOPs to scale operations.
• Act as subject‑matter expert on AML policy, validate complex case outcomes and support audit interactions.
• Design and maintain the QA strategy, including sampling methodology, test scripts and scorecards, while managing demand forecasts and capacity planning.
• Build strong relationships with operational leaders, translate QA data into actionable insights and influence business change.

Required profile

• 4+ years of leadership experience in operations or compliance, with at least 2 years managing a medium‑sized team (20‑40 people).
• 3+ years of hands‑on AML experience within the financial services sector.
• Deep knowledge of AML laws, regulations and global regulatory frameworks.
• Data‑driven mindset with ability to use analytics to drive continuous improvement.
• Proactive champion of AI literacy and automation opportunities.
