Shift Master – Factory Shift Leader

About the role

JELD-WEN Eesti AS, part of the JELD-WEN group and the largest door and window manufacturer in Estonia, is looking for a responsible and ambitious middle-level shift leader for its Rakvere factory, which runs three shifts on a 24/5 schedule. The shift master keeps production well organised, plans work so targets are met and uses people, machines and materials efficiently, while supporting continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Organise the execution of the shift production plan according to the plan.
• Plan, lead and organise the work of shift workers, including fair distribution of tasks.
• Ensure accurate time recording in line with requirements.
• Guide new employees and organise their learning of safe work methods.
• Report observations and improvement needs about the workplace to the relevant parties.
• Keep the area clean, orderly and safe.
• Notify the maintenance department of equipment faults and plan maintenance accordingly.
• Monitor quality requirements and suggest improvements; support daily use of LEAN principles.
• Reduce scrap and improve material utilisation.
• Report production results and KPIs accurately.

Required profile

• A clear, decisive and responsible person who enjoys working in production.
• Strong leadership, clear communication and hands-on approach.
• Ability to balance people, safety, quality and results.
