About the role

We are looking for a responsible blade sharpener to join our Rakvere factory team at JELD‑WEN. The role involves manual sharpening of profile and free‑side blades, ensuring high‑quality production standards in a calm, precise work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manually sharpen profile and free‑side blades according to specifications.
• Wash, maintain and measure blades using an optical ruler.
• Replace blades as needed and install them following technical drawings.
• Handle up to 15 blades per shift, with each blade taking from a few minutes up to half an hour.
• Work independently, maintaining precision and a steady pace.

Required profile

• Technical mindset with a desire to perform work accurately.
• Ability to think independently and follow shift schedules.
• Attention to detail and capacity to work calmly under a steady tempo.

Required skills

• Manual sharpening of profile and free‑side blades.
• Blade washing, maintenance and optical measurement.
• Installation of blades according to technical drawings.
